THE CORONATION OF THEIR MAJESTIES KING CHARLES III AND QUEEN CAMILLA

Charles was born on the 14th of November 1948; became heir to the throne at age 4, and was currently aged 74.
Camilla was born on the 17th of July 1947; she was currently aged 75.
By coach from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey.
Queen Camilla preceded the King in the procession up the aisle.
A specially printed King James Bible was presented, which Charles kissed.
The 'Theatre of Coronation', with Queen Camilla seated on the left.
The anointing with holy oil brought from Jerusalem was carried out behind screens.
The Robe of State having been removed for the anointing, the golden 'Supertunica and Girdle' were secured.
The Golden Spurs and Sword of Offering were presented, accepted, and handed back for return to the altar.
William, Prince of Wales, added 'The Stole Royal' to his father's clothing, secured by the attendant Bishop of Bath and Wells.
"Receive this Orb, set under the Cross, and remember always that the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdom of our God, and of his Christ."
"Receive the Royal Sceptre, the ensign of kingly power and justice, and the Rod of Equity and Mercy, symbol of covenant and peace."
Whereas the Sovereign's Ring had been acknowledged with a mere touch, the Royal Sceptre was grasped in the gloved right hand with the Rod of Equity in the left.

Charles III crowned.
"I, William, Prince of Wales, pledge my loyalty to you, and faith and truth I will bear unto you, as your liege man of life and limb. So help me God."
Camilla receives The Queen's Ring, Crown and Sceptre.

The golden coach was followed by other family transport.
Through the streets of London.
Part of the largest military parade for many decades.
United Kingdom and Commonwealth contingents took part.
The return to Buckingham Palace.
The parade troops having assembled on the palace garden lawn, the King and Queen emerged in acknowledgement.
Meanwhile, crowds had surged down the parade route to the Palace railings.
As the crowds anticipated, all the principals finally appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony, while the Red Arrows and other aerial displays passed overhead.
